Our Schedule of Services and Events

 

Our Services begin at 11 am on Sundays with fellowship and refreshments following.  Please remember to bring donations of shelf-stable foods and canned goods to add to our greater collection for our local food bank and feminine hygiene products for the Homeless Period Project.

    Grand Strand Action Together is a nonprofit organization devoted to protecting and defending our democracy and the American democratic ideals of liberty, equality, and justice. As citizens, we aim to promote discussion of common sense solutions, which are rooted in our shared interests and values as South Carolinians.  Dedicated to service, education, and advocacy, we seek to address issues affecting our local community.

    Friday through Monday, January 12-15 Various activities and locations

    Myrtle Beach will commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a weekend full of activities, January 12-15.  The Carolina African American Heritage Foundation, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Myrtle Beach present the 12th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Friday through Monday, January 12-15, 2018.  

    ·    12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 15 – Annual MLK Day Parade

    ·    2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 15 – MLK Musical Tribute and Concert, Mt. Olive African Methodist, Episcopal Church, 1108 Carver Street

    Women’s March Myrtle Beach

    Hosted by Grand Strand Action Together and the Coastal Carolina Coalition, the 2018 Women’s March will be held in Myrtle Beach on January 20th, 2018. The march will start at Anderson Park and conclude at Plyler Park where the rally will then take place.

    Speakers include:

    Nicole Service from the Rape Crisis Center of Horry and Georgetown County

    Director of Public Relations at Planned Parenthood South Atlantic Vicki Ringer

    Gwendolyn Reed from Everytown Gun Safety activist and founder of Ebony’s Hope here in Myrtle Beach

    Various Lawmakers and Representatives

    Plus additional speakers
