Our Services begin at 11 am on Sundays with fellowship and refreshments following. Please remember to bring donations of shelf-stable foods and canned goods to add to our greater collection for our local food bank.
This is a meal eaten in silence as we invite our dearly departed to join us for supper. Please bring a dish to share and a photo or memento of your loved one(s) to place on the table if you wish. Because this is a silent event it is most appropriate for adults and older kids. Please RSVP to me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we will know how many places to set.
Defying the Nazis: The Sharps’ War
Defying the Nazis: The Sharps’ War is an account of a daring rescue mission that occurred on the precipice of World War II. It tells the story of Waitstill & Martha Sharp, a Unitarian minister and his wife from Wellesley, Massachusetts, who left their children behind in the care of their parish and boldly committed to multiple life-threatening missions in Europe. Over two dangerous years they helped to save hundreds of imperiled political dissidents and Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazi occupation across Europe.
Because this is a movie, we will have Sunday potluck and movie concurrently. The movie runs approximately an hour and ten minutes.
