The Homeless Period Project of Myrtle Beach – Facebook page

There are thousands of people in the Myrtle Beach area who struggle to get their basic needs met- or those of their children- each month. Pads, tampons, liners, and wipes are costly and taxed. They are not readily available at food banks or other agencies and are not covered under food stamps. The Homeless Period Project strives to meet this need by providing Period Packs with several days worth of supplies to those in need- easing a little of the burden without causing shame.

Please bring any donations you can and your helping hands!

Donations of unopened packages of tampons, pads, liners, wipes, and small hard candies are welcome at any time at the church!

We like Food! You like Food! Now that's a reason to fellowship!

Okay folks... Bring your dribbles and your nibbles and join us for a First Sunday Potluck following our weekly service. Keep in mind we are an earth centered congregation and prefer to limit unhealthy and highly processed food and wasteful paper products. Fresh locally sourced meats, cheese, fruits and vegetables are welcome. If you you can jot down on a label your recipe name and ingredients, it helps others who have dietary restrictions.

By the way, don't be shy if you cannot bring anything! We love to share and there is always more than enough for everyone. Your company is all we request!

Join us for our monthly packing party. Donations welcome throughout the month.

You may think of your period as an annoyance but can you imagine not having pads/tampons every month? Did you know that feminine hygiene products are the least donated products to homeless shelters? Did you know that many girls in our schools do not have access to these necessities? For many the implications of living without these necessary supplies are serious… it’s the difference between attending school or work, between peace of mind and humiliation or between infection and health.
